Pre-orders? No worries, EMMA can handle that too!

Certain platforms such as Shopee allows you to sell products on Pre-Order but certain platforms do not. If you turn a listing that is out of stock into a pre-order listing on Shopee and add quantities for the inventory, EMMA will recognize this as that the product is back in stock and update the new stock quantity to other platforms as well, even though the item is not on pre-order status on the other platforms. Hence customers will view the item as in stock and will be able to place orders for it on the other platforms.

To prevent this error, simply temporarily edit the SKU of the item to a different SKU, for example, adding “PRE” to the back of the SKU code. In this case, EMMA will see it as a different product as EMMA identifies items based on SKU :

NOTE: If the item eventually becomes in stock instead of pre-order, do remember to edit the SKU of the pre-order listing on Shopee back to the same SKU as on the other platforms, so that the inventory can continue to be synchronised.
