Shopify inventory sync with Shopee and Lazada
Your Shopify store is usually the channel you control and the marketplaces are the ones you do not. EMMA keeps them on the same number, so a marketplace sale reduces your own store and the other way round.
What syncs
- Orders in
- Shopify posts each order to EMMA as it happens. Your other channels are written within seconds.
- Stock out
- Whenever the figure changes anywhere, on any channel or by hand, EMMA writes the new quantity back to Shopify.
- Matched on
- SKU. Product titles and prices differ between channels, so they cannot be used.
- Bundles
- Sync rules let a bundle on one channel draw down its component SKUs everywhere else.
Connecting it
- Install EMMA from the Shopify App Store, or start from Sales Channels in EMMA and choose Shopify.
- Approve the app against your store.
- Choose which Shopify inventory location EMMA should sync.
- EMMA imports your products and checks SKUs before syncing.
Things worth knowing
- EMMA syncs one Shopify inventory location per account. If you run several locations, pick the one that represents sellable stock.
- Products need inventory tracking switched on in Shopify. Shopify leaves it off by default, so this catches most people.
- Every product and variant needs a unique, non-empty SKU.
Shopify questions
Does EMMA support multiple Shopify locations?
Not currently. EMMA syncs one inventory location per account, so choose the location that holds your sellable stock. Multi-location is not supported today, and we would rather say so than have you find out later.
Do Shopify variants sync correctly?
Yes, provided each variant has its own unique SKU. Matching is by SKU rather than product title, because titles differ between channels.
Is EMMA on the Shopify App Store?
Yes, EMMA is published and reviewed on the Shopify App Store, which is one of the ways sellers find and install it.
